Skin Health
Cancer Detection
Australia has some of the highest rates of sun exposure in the world, which makes a careful, documented record of your skin one of the more sensible things you can do for it. Skin Check+ is a thorough full-body skin assessment with imaging, building a clear, dated baseline of your moles and lesions so changes can be spotted over time.
What It Is
A skin check involves a careful examination of your skin, including spots and moles you might never see yourself. The imaging adds a documented baseline, so changes can be compared at future checks rather than relying on memory. It is a considered, methodical look at the largest organ you have, carried out with proper attention.
What It Measures
The assessment covers lesion mapping and dermoscopic imaging, building a documented record of your skin you can compare over time. That dated record is what turns a single check into genuine monitoring.
What To Expect
The check takes place in clinic and is carried out with care for your comfort and privacy. You will be asked to undress to your underwear so the skin can be examined thoroughly, and a clinician uses a dermoscope, a special magnifier, to look closely at areas of interest. Images are captured so your skin can be compared at future visits. The examination is unhurried, and you are welcome to point out anything that has been on your mind.
Your Results
Any areas worth watching or following up are explained to you on the day, with a report in the Precursor app afterwards. If something needs further assessment, your clinician guides you clearly on what to do next, so a thorough check leads to reassurance or a sensible plan.
