What It Measures

What To Expect

The scan is performed at a partner imaging centre. A contrast dye is given through a small cannula in your arm to make your arteries visible, and you may be given medication to steady your heart rate for clearer images. The scan itself is quick, though the full visit takes a little longer to allow for preparation. It uses radiation, which the team is open about, and you may be asked to avoid caffeine beforehand. Most people return to normal activity the same day.
