Biological Age
How old is your body really? A single number you can understand, influence and watch change over time.
Longevity & Ageing
Overall Health
Your birthday tells you how long you have been alive. It tells you very little about how well your body is actually functioning. Biological age is the more useful number, an estimate of how old your body seems to be working right now, and unlike your chronological age it can move in either direction.
What It Is
Chronological age only ever climbs. Biological age is different. It draws on markers that tend to shift with your lifestyle, fitness and metabolic health, producing an estimate that can rise or fall over time. Read as a trend line rather than a fixed verdict, it becomes one of the most motivating measures in your Precursor profile, a single figure that responds to the choices you make.
What It Measures
Your biological age is a composite, built from a blend of physiological and molecular markers measured from your sample. Rather than reporting dozens of individual values, it distils them into one clear figure you can understand at a glance and watch as your habits change.
What To Expect
In most cases your biological age is calculated from a blood sample, which can be taken at the same visit as your Full Advanced Bloods, so you only need one draw. Your sample is processed by an accredited lab, and your composite appears in the Precursor app alongside a plain explanation of what feeds into it.
Your Results
Because this is a measure you will want to watch, the app is built to show change between tests, and your clinician helps you connect the number to the habits that influence it. The aim is not to fixate on a single figure but to give you something concrete to move, and a clear way to see your effort paying off.
