DIAGNOSTIC OVERVIEW

DIAGNOSTIC OVERVIEW

What Full Advanced Bloods Is

Most standard blood tests check a narrow set of markers tied to a specific concern. Full Advanced Bloods is broader. It brings together panels that are usually ordered separately, so you can see how different systems in your body relate to one another rather than reading them in isolation. The result is a single baseline you can return to and measure change against over time.

Why it's worth it

A whole-body view in a single draw.

Identify changes that may not cause symptoms, while you can act.

Clinician-reviewed, and tracked over time.

DIAGNOSTIC DETAILS

What it measures

The panel covers lipids and ApoB, glucose and HbA1c, kidney function, liver function, thyroid markers, key hormones, vitamins and iron studies, and a full blood count. Together these give a view of cardiovascular risk markers, metabolic health, organ function and common nutrient gaps.

Heart & Cardiovascular

A full lipid profile alongside ApoB, the marker that counts the particles driving arterial plaque. Read together they give a sharper picture of cardiovascular risk than cholesterol alone, and an early baseline you can act on well before problems surface.

Kidney & Liver Function

Function markers for two organs that rarely signal trouble until late, giving quiet, early warning.

Metabolic Health

Fasting glucose and HbA1c reveal how your body has managed blood sugar over recent months, not just on the day of the draw. Together they are the earliest window into insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes risk, often years before any symptoms appear.

Hormones & Nutrients

Thyroid, key hormones, iron studies, vitamins and a full blood count, covering the gaps that quietly drain energy.

HOW IT WORKS

From booking to your results

Getting a broad read on your health should be simple. Here is how a single Full Advanced Bloods draw becomes a baseline you can act on, from booking to reviewing your results.

Your Results Are In!

Tap to review your results and see what's next.

01

Book your visit

Choose a time and a partner collection centre that suits you, and book online in a couple of minutes. If your panel needs you to fast beforehand, we tell you clearly at booking so you arrive ready.

02

Give your sample

At the centre, a trained phlebotomist takes a single blood draw that covers every marker in your panel. It takes only a few minutes, there is nothing else for you to do, and you are free to carry on with your day.

03

Accredited lab analysis

Your sample goes to an accredited Australian pathology lab, where each marker is measured to clinical standards. It is the same quality of testing your GP relies on, which is what makes your results something you can genuinely trust.

04

Results in the app

Once analysed, your results appear in the Precursor app in plain language, with clear reference ranges instead of a wall of numbers. You can see at a glance where you sit and what each marker means for you.

05

Review and track

A clinician reviews your panel, highlights anything worth your attention and helps you understand what to do next. Because the app keeps every test, your bloods become a trend you can act on and watch change over time.

"A full panel gives us a proper starting point rather than a snapshot of one thing. When someone sees their whole picture in one place, it usually turns vague worry into a clear, manageable plan."

FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

How do I book a test?

Choose your test and a time that suits you online, then visit one of our partner locations. If any preparation is needed, such as fasting, we tell you clearly when you book.

When and how do I get my results?

Your results appear in the Precursor app once your sample or scan has been processed, laid out in plain language rather than a wall of numbers. Turnaround depends on the test, and we give you a timeframe when you book.

Will someone explain my results to me?

Yes. A clinician reviews your results, flags anything worth your attention and helps you understand what they mean and what, if anything, to do next. You are never left to interpret them alone.

Where can I get tested?

We operate nationally through a network of partner locations across most major cities and regional centres. When you book, you simply choose the location that is most convenient for you.

Do I need to prepare or fast beforehand?

It depends on the test. Some require fasting or other simple preparation, and others need nothing at all. Whatever applies, we tell you clearly at the time you book so there are no surprises on the day.

Can I track my results over time?

Yes. The Precursor app is built to show change between tests, so each result becomes a trend you can follow rather than a one-off snapshot. Retesting lets you see the effect of any changes you make.

How is my data handled and kept private?

Your health data is handled with care and kept private. Results are stored securely in the Precursor app and shared only with you and the clinicians involved in your care.

What happens if something needs further attention?

If your results surface something worth acting on, your clinician explains it calmly and talks you through sensible next steps. The aim is early clarity and considered action, never unnecessary alarm.
