What To Expect
The scan is performed at a partner imaging centre and is quick, usually a few minutes on the scanner. It uses a low dose of radiation, which the team is open about, and most chest scans of this kind need no contrast and no fasting. You lie still and hold your breath briefly while the images are captured. There is no recovery time and you can carry on with your day.
Your Results
A specialist reviews the images, and a clinician explains the report to you in the Precursor app. Scans of this kind can sometimes pick up incidental findings that are harmless but warrant a closer look, and we are upfront about that. If it happens, your clinician talks you through it calmly and guides sensible next steps, so the result leads to clarity rather than worry.
